About API Keys

API keys are used to authenticate your requests to the NHSJob API. Keep your API keys secure and do not share them in publicly accessible areas.

Key Types:

  • Test keys - Use for development and testing. These keys only access test data and don't affect production.
  • Live keys - Use for production applications. These keys access real data and can make changes to your account.

Important

Treat your API keys like passwords. Do not hardcode them in client-side code or commit them to version control.
